East Cessnock Bowling Club: Caring for Our Community

At East Cessnock Bowling Club, supporting our community is one of our most important duties. That is why we were so pleased and proud to have the opportunity to support the publication and accessibility of ‘The Essential Guide to Adulthood Street Smart Handbook’, an ongoing project of NSW Blue Light with community and government support

About ‘The Essential Guide to Adulthood Street Smart Handbook’

Young people today want information that is both reliable and unbiased. Since young people are our future, it’s essential that we get them the information they need in a clear and inviting manner. Being ‘street smart’ isn’t just cool; it’s essential to survival and navigating the road to adulthood safely and enjoyably.

‘The Essential Guide to Adulthood Street Smart Handbook’ provides our young people with accurate, responsible information that will help them to make smart decisions. With luck and this handbook, our young people will be better equipped than ever to safely make their way through the perils and pitfalls of adolescence and young adulthood.

We’re proud to have a part in making this information available. For more information on how to get this handbook for yourself or for a young person you know, call us on 02 4990 1444, or click here for the online version.

Club of Community Choice

Set in the historic mining and vineyard region of Hunter Valley, East Cessnock Bowling Club is the Club of Community Choice and one of the premier sporting clubs in NSW. Ours is the only club in Hunter Valley to boast an outdoor grass bowling green, an outdoor synthetic bowling green and an indoor bowling green. These greens are available for hire for social and family groups.

In addition to our bowling facilities, we are one of the finest entertainment and conference venues in the area. Our new sports lounge with TAB, Club Keno and a pool table; main bar area; auditorium; and family bistro eating will surpass all of your expectations. We even have accommodations available at the Cessnock Vintage Motor Inn. Our facility is only 10 minutes away from the world-famous Hunter Valley Wine Country, and we’re open 7 days a week with lots of parking.

Our new green was officially opened 27th October 2012. This undercover green allows players to enjoy the game no matter what the weather might have in mind. Because of this, ECBC is a leader in the state when it comes to facilities for lawn bowls. We have hosted the Australian Indoor Singles Qualification Tournament (7-10th June 2013) in our indoor green.

Our bowling members enjoy the game 7 days a week, 365 days a year, regardless of what Mother Nature might be doing. See for yourself why we are the Club of Community Choice. Come to ECBC and enjoy bowls in comfort!
